Artists on Central

I am a self-taught artist, from Covington, TN. I began painting on canvas about 3 years ago at the urging of an artist friend after doing several wall murals and stage backgrounds for the school where I teach.

I paint a variety of subjects in various styles, but most of my art leans toward realism and detail. I am an avid gardener, so some of my favorite subjects are flowers and landscapes. I have also done animals, people, cityscapes, children’s art and even abstracts. I usually paint what interests me at the time, but have often done specific subjects by request.

I have always painted with acrylics and I enjoy experimenting with color and texture.
